Rick Ball completed his first satellite transmission in 1986 and has been a pioneer in the industry ever since. He was a founding partner of a southern-based satellite uplink company and has had the opportunity to work with nearly every major television network in the country. Always at the forefront of the latest transmission technologies, Rick served as the primary uplink engineer for the first HD broadcasts of several major television events, including the Academy Awards, Super Bowl, Masters Golf Tournament and State of the Union address.
Rick joined PSSI Global Services in 2014 and played an integral role in many of the company’s first “at-home” transmissions. As director of broadcast sports, Rick oversees all aspects of PSSI Global Services’ broadcast sports projects — from arranging initial contracts with a variety of major networks to ensuring a seamless technical execution for each transmission. A member of the Society of Satellite Professionals International (SSPI), Rick brings a wealth of industry experience and expertise to the PSSI Global Services team.
