It’s shaping up to be another busy and exciting week for the PSSI Global Services team. Here’s a quick look at what we have on deck:
Football
Once again, we’ll be tackling football across the country.
- SEC on CBS is in Knoxville, Tennessee, this week, where the Volunteers host the Missouri Tigers.
- SEC Nation is down in Baton Rouge where the Florida Gators play the LSU Tigers.
- We’re back at West Point for more exclusive Army football coverage.
- On Saturday night, we’ll be right in the backyard of our Boston-area headquarters for the University of Connecticut vs. Boston College game.
- We’re doing a 10-channel at-home transmission for ESPN in Boise, Idaho, on Friday night.
- We have another 10-channel transmission via satellite in Orlando, Florida, on Saturday night.
- We’re in Ames, Iowa, Fort Worth, Texas, and Seattle, Washington, for football on the FOX networks. We’re also covering the University of California, Berkeley vs. Stanford game at Memorial Stadium. It’s been a busy season for us covering Pac-12 and Big 12 football.
- Never content with any one transmission platform, we are providing encoding services direct to fiber for ESPN and other broadcast clients — top engineers and a stack of gear. This weekend we’re in College Station, Texas, for a 7-channel at-home transmission via fiber of the Texas A&M vs. University of Texas at San Antonio game. We’re also doing the same thing in Lincoln, Nebraska, where the Cornhuskers host the Maryland Terrapins.
Boxing, Wrestling and Mixed Martial Arts
We’re providing transmission, communications and event management services for several fights this weekend.
- We’re in Indio, California, on Friday night for Golden Boy Promotions and Ring TV.
- In Kissimmee, Florida, we have Solo Boxeo.
- We’ve been in Las Vegas for the weigh-in, press conferences and satellite media tours for this weekend’s HBO Pay-Per-View.
- Sergey Kovalev fights Andre Ward on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena, and we’ll be there with several trucks, engineers and project managers to handle worldwide distribution.
- It’s another action-packed weekend for our WWE team. Our CK30 tractor-trailer crossed into Canada today for WWE NXT on Saturday night, WWE Survivor Series on Sunday night and WWE Raw on Monday night. Following, these three huge shows in Toronto, we have WWE SmackDown in Ottawa on Tuesday night. No rest for the weary!
- It’s also a busy weekend for mixed martial arts. Bellator 165 is in San Jose, California, and so are we!
- And we’re in São Paulo at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera — it’s a UFC Fight Night in Brazil.
- It’s also a UFC Fight Night in Belfast, believe it or not! We have two of our top guys in Northern Ireland for this international event. After that, they’re headed to Melbourne, Australia.
American Music Awards
Last but not least, we’re providing domestic and international transmission services for the American Music Awards live from the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles. We’re proud to be the exclusive satellite provider for network coverage and worldwide distribution of this great event.
Looking forward to a great weekend of doing what we do best!
