No time to recover from an intensely busy stretch of election coverage — we’re heading into another full weekend across the U.S.
Four of our election trucks are staying in New York City through the weekend for UFC 205. This will be the first UFC event in the state of New York, and what could be a better venue for this enormous Pay-Per-View (PPV) milestone than Madison Square Garden? We have six of our best engineers on-site along with two seasoned project managers to distribute this huge event around the world. This is the second UFC PPV event that we will transmit in 4K resolution.

We also have a full schedule of football coverage:
- On Thursday night, we were in Tempe, Arizona, for Utah vs. Arizona State.
- We were also in Durham, North Carolina, for University of North Carolina at Duke.
- From Durham we drive up to Annapolis, Maryland, for continuing coverage of Navy football. Tulsa is in town this week.
- We’re in Blacksburg, Virginia, for Georgia Tech vs. Virginia Tech.
- It’s a doubleheader this week for the SEC on CBS. We have trucks in Athens, Georgia, and Gainesville, Florida, for a great couple of games.
- SEC Nation on the SEC Network is also in Gainesville this weekend as the rallying Gamecocks face the Gators.
- We’re doing a couple more multiplexed, “at-home” transmissions for ESPN, including 10 channels in Tallahassee, Florida, for Boston College at Florida State. We’re also multiplexing seven channels in Memphis, Tennessee, where the Memphis Tigers host the South Florida Bulls on Saturday.
- We’re spending another Saturday in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where Oklahoma State hosts Texas Tech.
- Down the road in Austin, we’ll uplink West Virginia at Texas.
- Up the road in Lawrence, Kansas, we’ll be covering Iowa State at Kansas.
- Out west, we’re in Seattle, Washington, for University of Southern California at Washington.
Basketball season is also already upon us. We’ll be in Annapolis, Maryland, for the Veterans Classic tournament this Friday. We’re also covering Seton Hall in South Orange, New Jersey. Pretty soon, much of our fleet will make the transition from all things football to a busy winter basketball schedule.
In the world of golf, we’re still in Mexico covering two great tournaments for Golf Channel. We’re also a little closer to home in Scottsdale, Arizona, for the Charles Schwab Cup Championship.
Last but not least, Senior Project Manager Eric Hall and Senior Broadcast Engineer Mike Lemieux drew the short straws and ended up in Monte Carlo, Monaco, for HBO Boxing After Dark this Saturday. Tough gig!
